Eric's Eclectic Stories

Diaper food.

Babies go through a lot of diapers.

It’s like they can’t help themselves.

My youngest daughter recently started eating table food, and boy can she pack down the food.

Sometimes she eats as much as her three year old brother.

Anyway, after a blistering early morning breakfast of cereal, I found myself relegated to diaper duty (pun intended).

Buckling up and pulling down my chemical goggles, I snapped my gloves and got to work.

Rrrrrip.

The first velcro off.

Rrrrip.

The second.

I held my breath and peeled it back.

Still white.

I let out a sigh of relief.

Then….something caught my eye.

Squinting, I examined it more closely.

“Is this a … cheerio?”

I held it up. It was, in fact, a cheerio.

Somehow it managed to make its way past all defenses. A food tray, my daughter’s mouth, a bib, a shirt, pants, and a diaper.

I shrugged, and popped it in my mouth.

Just kidding!

That little puppy went straight into the trash.

But what didn’t go into the trash is my sales pitch.

If you buy your books on Kobo head on over where they’re having a buy one get one free sale.

Architect’s Prize, the second book in the Patmos Series, is eligible until the end of March.

Reading Fathomless Pursuit isn’t necessary. This book stands on its own, much like Ironbound Path.
